The DuBois Jaycees are always striving to live up to the legacy that was created before them. When I joined the Jaycees in 2010, I had the pleasure of meeting some great members who set the bar high for continuing on the past traditions and fundraisers of the Jaycees. Over the last six years since I've joined, the DuBois Jaycees have continued their success by adding more valuable young professionals that have kept this Chapter strong.
On August 6th, the DuBois Jaycees had the honor of being named the #1 Jaycee chapter in Pennsylvania at the quarterly Jaycee State Convention. The DuBois Jaycees are currently one Chapter out of 26 in Pennsylvania. DuBois members, Megan Vallely and Neil Hanes, accepted this award on behalf of the DuBois Chapter.
There were many elements that went into the DuBois Jaycees receiving this esteemed award, and we couldn't have accomplished this goal without our dedicated membership.
This award is given to the chapter who accumulates the highest points based on the following categories:
(Monthly Meetings, PR, Media Coverage and Visiting outside Chapters)
(Chapter Socials, National Webinar Attendance and Individual Development Initiatives)
International Area of Opportunity
(National Convention Attendance, National Program Attendance, State Convention Attendance and First-Timers Attendance)
(Local Charity Donations, Local Government Involvement, Environmental & Community Projects and Chapter Fundraisers)
(New Members, Member Retention and New Chapter Extensions)
Points are based off the number of attendees, fundraisers or social media initiatives that each Chapter does throughout the quarter.
We are excited to share this news about our local Chapter. The Jaycees provide a great value to our local community that we hope continues well after we age out. Thanks again for everyone's dedication on keeping the DuBois Chapter the best in the state!
