The DuBois Jaycees kicked off their 9th annual golf scramble at the Kenterra Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 1st. The Jaycees had a total of 12 teams participate in this year’s event.
Keeping up with last year’s format, the scramble was 18 holes with a shotgun start at 10AM. Three teams were named first, second, and third place winners, along with one team being named as "most honest.” A 50/50 winner was also drawn, and door prizes were given out to all those lucky individuals whose names were called at the end of the event.
Like last year, a "Super Ticket" was offered again to all golfers. Participants paid $20 to buy one, all which covered a 50/50 raffle ticket, a Vegas Hole chance, an entry into the putting contest and one mulligan. The Super Ticket was extremely popular and kept all incentives in one place for easy use and remembrance for players.
The DuBois Jaycees couldn’t have had this event without the help of local businesses, members and the former Jaycees who came out to support them this year. We look forward to next year’s event and hope to have the same success in 2019.
