Tis the Season to be a Jaycee

The DuBois Jaycees have been busy this winter season by reigning in the holiday cheer throughout their local Community. Our chapter has participated in three events that have always meant so much to our membership.

The first event was delivering Thanksgiving turkeys to 30 families in the DuBois and its surrounding areas on Thanksgiving morning. Martin's of DuBois provided the pre-made meals, while Jaycee members and their families hand delivered them to each one of the families. It's such a touching event that many Jaycees love to come out to partake in.

On Saturday, December 3rd, The Jaycees rang the bell for the Salvation Army kettle drive at the DuBois Wal-Mart. It was a chilly morning, but that didn't stop the DuBois Jaycee members in dressing up and ringing the bell during this holiday season.

Our final, and one of the most beloved, events was the Christmas shopping for local kids at the DuBois Wal-Mart. The Jaycees shopped for 30 families and spent close to $3,000 after all the items were tallied. Santa Clause even made an appearance; he not only participated with the Christmas shopping, he also helped in spreading the holiday cheer to all of those lucky shoppers at Wal-Mart.

This is the end of our season here in DuBois, but we will be starting back up again in January with our I&A Banquet and our first meeting will be in February 2017.

If you are interested in joining us, please check back in with our meeting dates for 2017 or feel free to contact us at anytime.

From our Jaycee family to yours, Happy Holidays and Happy New Years! Hopefully we will see you in 2017!
